XBox Game Pass and the confusing name:XBox Game Pass, as we all know, is owned by Windows. Even though it is called XBox game pass, they have been pushing the "Pass" to Windows PCs in the last year in an initiative to get more users and ofcourse, in my mind, push more people to use Windows 10, as most of these games only work on the newer updates of Windows and sometimes are reluctant to allow games to run on older versions of Windows. What does XGP offer:Lets discuss this shall we... XGP has a bit of a different model than Origin Access in that it has fewer games, but way more "high end" games. It also incorporates much more of the Indie game genre and makes a viable store for many a gamer. Games are ever changing, some being removed, but much more added weekly. As the "craze" seem to grow, more and more people tend to join the Subscription gaming clan and growing the community as a whole, even if it is on different stores. XGP also allows you to connect to multiple PC's but one PC in paticular can be your offline PC, that allows you to play in an offline mode, something that can sometimes be limiting for gaming on the go. I have had issues with Origin not launching games in offline mode, no such troubles yet with XGP. XBOX GAME PASS: PC vs CONSOLE vs ULTIMATEWhats on offer according to the Website: The truth about the offers: PC: I have to start off with PC. I am not PC Master Race guy, I have simply found that PC and Xbox gaming remote gives me all the freedoms a console never does. Now with many of the XBox only games coming to PC, it really makes my life more fun.
The PC option is really cheap at $6.99 US a month, I mention again that this is only the US price and you need to check out your local store, my store is charging about $2.65 at the time of writing. The PC option includes 191 games with many of Microsoft's premium offer games like Gears Of War, Halo and Forza Horizon up for grabs for free. There is also many smaller Indie games available that sells for more than 7 Dollars on Steam so even if you are an Indie gamer, this is a good option. Console: The Console is ofcourse the original subscription. It is does give you access to all of the 374 games currently available.
